MySpot: It Was November

"Let misty autumn be our part!
The twilight of the year is sweet:
Where shadow and the darkness meet
Our love, a twilight of the heart
Eludes a little time's deceit.

Are we not better and at home
In dreamful Autumn, we who deem
No harvest joy is worth a dream?
A little while and night shall come,
A little while, then, let us dream."

Ernest Dowson - Autumnal

London, 2015: London, thou art the flower of cities all!

A great pub should offer a non-judgmental refuge, a haven for conversation, laughter and ideas.

You've got to have hard wooden furniture like old church pews that are a bit uncomfortable.
The English are essentially puritans.
Fulfilling enjoyment can only be obtained with a certain amount of discomfort and sparseness.

London, 2015: Camden Town

Camden is an inner northern district of London.
Its heart lies in Camden Town, a neighbourhood known for its market and the colourful nightlife.
For half a century Camden Town, the centre of Camden,
has been the centre of alternative culture in London, be it punk, goth, hippie or emo.
The area is home to large markets selling an extremely wide range of products,
from glowing t-shirts to digeridoos, mostly from independent stalls.
With some of the capital's most varied cuisine, great live music and an anything goes attitude,
Camden is one of the most vibrant and interesting of all London districts.

London, 2015: The Afternoon Sun Trying its Best on London Streets

"The fairies, as their custom, clapped their hands with delight over their cleverness,
and they were so madly in love with the little house
that they could not bear to think they had finished it."

J.M. Barrie - Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens
